This problem started 4 Sept.
Some ABC radio stations in Australia stream in TuneIn by default on Nest Mini, others on Radio App. Nest mini says it’s streaming the former when asked to, but it isn’t. The latter works fine. Other stations stream fine on TuneIn.
The ABC stations stream on TuneIn fine on other devices, eg PC.
Searches advise to reset default radio app in Radio in Google Home settings, but the Radio setting is only available in the US and Canada.
I’ve tried various prompts, always the same, says it’s streaming but it isn’t.
Problem exists on both Nest Minis I own, which both have the most recent firmware. I’ve tried rebooting.
I’ve seen the exact same issue raised before, it seems to have been resolved, but now it’s back.

They're in and out. I just tried Classic from Radio App and it worked, RN was working last night from Radio App but not this morning.
I got this from ABC listener support this morning:
We are aware of this issue, and we're working to make streaming easier and more reliable on smart speakers.
Our live streams are transported to you via third-party services, and issues like these can unfortunately take some time to resolve.
If you haven't already done so, please use the following voice command:
"OK Google, play (ABC Radio station name) on Radio App"
"Hey Google" is fine too, but the important part is "...on Radio App"
so for example:
"OK Google, play ABC Radio National on Radio App" or "OK Google, play ABC Radio Brisbane on Radio App"

Thanks. I had been trying that and it hadn't worked, but now it does. Someone must have migrated those stations across to Radio App from TuneIn, with a period in limbo in between.

ABC Radio National and ABC Classic FM aren't working at all.

I tried exactly what you recommended for Radio National and received a response of "I looked for that, but it either isn't available or can't be played right now".

Yes, I know, that's what I said above. It was working, now it's not. I think we're going to have to wait it out. The ABC is aware of it.

It's working again now!
Tuesday
This actually worked. Don't know why google changed this command without informing customers, as it worked fine for years without the last part of the command string..
Monday
Mine hasn't been working for about 3 months. Yet following different methods to get it working again. But strange my Spotify account works fine
Monday
I'm having similar problems, and still can't stream RN. I saw the ABC's response and it's nice to know Auntie cares. It'd be easier if the Listen app still had wifi streaming capability - but that functionality was removed from the Listen app with the last big "upgrade". I guess we have to wait until TuneIn is fixed.
Monday
My temporary fix is to bluetooth from my phone to my speaker. Say "Hey google, pair bluetooth device" while you've got your bluetooth settings open on your device.
After it's paired, when you're streaming over the listen app, say to the speaker "Hey google, connect to <name of device>".
From then you can control as normal from the speaker. The drawback is you need to stay in range for the connection to remain active.
Wednesday
I can't get this to work. I wish it still worked with TuneIn. I never had an issue with that.
