When I try to add my Nest Audio device to Google Home, it tells me the device must be activated first. The Help directions say to download Device Utility. However, Device Utility is not compatible with my Google Pixel 8 Pro. How am I supposed to activate the device if the utility I'm required to use isn't compatible with the latest build?

Hi @N3RDY!
Thanks for posting in the community.
I’m sorry for the inconveniences that you’ve been experiencing when trying to set up your Nest Audio. I understand that during the setup it asks you to activate the device using the Device Utility app, but it seems that this app is not compatible with your Google Pixel 8 Pro.
As you can see, the Device Utility app is really needed during the setup. I will suggest you try to use a different Android mobile device. You will need to open your Google Account on that mobile device, and then once the setup is done, the Nest Audio will be linked to your account, and you will be able to use it with your Google Pixel 8 Pro.
Tell me how it goes.
Regards,
Daniel.

Hi
I am having the same problem, and do not have any device that I can download device utility app onto. What should I do now? How is it possible that I cannot set up my Nest Audio because my phone runs a version of android that is too new?
