Activate Google Mini...only have a Google Pixel phone.

I only have a Pixel 3 and a Pixel 6 phone and it will not allow me to activate my Google mini. I've seen some post to use another device but I do not have one. Why do Google devices not work together?

Thanks for posting.

We understand your concern about your device not working as it should. 

To set up the device, you first need to activate it with the Device Utility app. 

• Since you’re using Google Pixel phones, you must install the Device Utility app from Playstore.
• Open the Device Utility app and follow the instructions.
• Turn on location access and bluetooth on your phone’s settings
• Disconnect and reconnect from your Wi-Fi then go back to the Device Utility app and continue the steps.
• Once it finds your Google Home/Nest Mini, follow the steps to activate it.
• Follow the rest of the steps prompted in the Device Utility app (almost the same as the setup steps in the Google Home app). Once the device is activated, the setup continues in the Google Home app to finish the steps.
