As stated in the title I keep getting adverts on my nest hub max, other devices seem fine but annoyingly it's probably the device I use for music the most as it's kept in the kitchen/dining room. Only seems to have started after latest update

My mum's reporting the same this morning too. She's on my family plan but is getting adverts before songs when she asks the home hub to play something. I've confirmed that when the song plays it is playing in YouTube Music.

I'm having the same issue today on both my nest hub Mac and nest display. I've tried a factory reset on one of them but made no difference. My YouTube premium is showing as active and works fine on my phone and computer so it just seems to be impacting nest devices.

I am having the same issue. Music was playing fine and ad free yesterday and now today it is playing ads. I have checked that I'm connected to YouTube Music Premium. I have also factory reset my hub and it is still occurring.

I've had this today also. Also experiencing an issue casting any music to either of my Nest Mini's - but a third party speaker casts fine. Definitely some gremlins within Google somewhere at the minute

Just had this happen to us and came across this post whilst searching about it! Guessing some central problem

My wife was playing music for our baby and pointed out that we are getting 10 second Target toy ads playing between videos now. Unacceptable, we're subscribers that pay for a particular service. They need to fix this immediately.

A world where nothing ever went wrong, and everything worked 100% correctly 100% of the time would be amazing... but unrealistic!
Yes they do need to fix it, but stating its "Unacceptable" and "need to fix this immediately" is a bit over the top!

Are they going to prorate my subscription fee for the service they don't provide me? No. Stop caping for multi billion dollar corporations you simp, or better yet, shut up entirely.

ok.............

so looks like there was a 24-48hr time frame where you were inconvenienced with adverts, since this was unacceptable to you (and therefore assume you couldn't listen to any music during that time), I have donated the cost of your subscription for those 48hrs (assuming you have the max Family Premium subscription for £19.99) to a random charity on JustGiving,
As im feeling super generous I have doubled it to a massive £2.66

Same here on my nest display with a premium subscription. I'm not impressed.

My wife noticed it last night on our Nest Display, that it started to play ads between songs. Recently song have been optionally showing videos as well. We have a family youtube premium subscription.
I tried to play some songs and had the same issue. I stopped it and then cast my phones Youtube music to the display and it worked fine with no ads.
Quite annoying.

Still issues today. It doesn't recognise any personal playlist I ask ( Nest hub max) and just plays generic ones from YouTube.
Not great timing when they just announced to jack up my subscription price by 70% with no extra value =\

Looks to be fixed this morning 🎉 be nice to know what happened though

The ads seem to be gone but still not 100% right. It still doesn't play your playlists.

Dear Sir,
I have subscribed YouTube premium and there was no any problem when using my Nest hub to play YouTube videos and music until today.
Now before playing any YouTube video on my Nest hub, it always starts from an AD, and I have no idea what’s going wrong and don’t know how to fix it. The Hub can still play my photos and recognizes my voice, so it shall be linked to my account.
It will be appreciated if someone could tell me how to solve this issue.

I am also suddenly having this issue as of today. I am a premium member and do not want ads on my display. I will be following closely for a resolution response.

Created a community account to say the exact same thing. I pay precisely NOT to have ads and now am having Target toy ads play between my videos. Unacceptable.

Same here, on the phone with them and they are trying to convince me it is a device issue. Even although I've told them I'm having the same issues on multiple devices in two different locations and two different WiFi networks. Also, if you are playing music and swipe back to the clock or photos my music stops.

I threw my google nest hub in the trash today. Three times it started playing ads even though I pay for premium. I think google is doing it on purpose. Fix your devices and your tech. I will be cancelling my subscription and switching to apple music or spotify. So disappointing.

Still happening today.

Hi rjadev,
Thanks for reaching out. We appreciate you letting us know that you are still experiencing this. Let’s try to refresh your devices and observe if it makes a difference. First, reboot your Wi-Fi router, and once the network is back up, do the same thing to your Google Nest Hub.
Regards,
Juni
