Hello
I am hoping that someone can offer some advice. I am a LONG time Google home user - I have some 20 home devices in my house, almost one in every room and have had them for years now, rarely has there been an issue.
Over the past few weeks (it feels), pretty much all of the devices have become extremely buggy. On many of the devices, when I ask a question or to play music, the response is broken. It's hard to explain but I have captured it in a short video - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1n7r5Fk8aOE4oTVGZw6SajL6cxsAuNdqH/view?usp=sharing
In the video you can hear the response to me asking it to "Play Chris Stapleton" is broken up and buggy. This happens often, but not all the time - often being every other response or so, and it happens on all of my devices.
The devices have also started to have problems with actually doing things too - such as playing music. Often I will ask them to play a song or an artist, they will tell me they are doing it but then nothing will play and the Google Home app shows no casting.
The problem is not just limited to music. Here is another video showing it responding to a simple question - again notice the broken response - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1L19tBOh5AaId6isyFAMgsPWPd1geh5yi/view?usp=sharing
For reference, it took me asking it the same question twice to get it to break up - the first time it was ok, then next time it was broken. Also notice it struggled to hear my request to stop - it never used to have these problems.
These issues are not isolated to just this device, they happen on all of my devices, across my various mini's and regular hubs. I do have a display, and while that doesn't have the broken voice issue, it refuses to play music now and often does not respond to questions correctly.
In terms of my network - that's never changed in years. I use Google wifi and the signal strength for all of these devices is excellent. That said however, I did restart my network multiple times without any difference.
I also tried to factory reset one of the devices thinking maybe a bad firmware had been pushed out, again, no change.
I do have a single Apple Homepod too - this is experiencing zero issue.
I really don't want to have to speak to support - I just know nothing will happen hence I am hoping that maybe there is a PM on these threads who has some better insight.
I am stuck right now, I have almost 20 Google Home devices and all of them are basically paperweights at this point.
Any suggestions are welcomed.
Cheers,
Jon

Hello JonWallace,
Thanks for reaching out to our community.
I understand how frustrating it can be when your Home devices start acting strangely and don't provide the same seamless experience you're used to. Let's work together to resolve this and get all your devices back on track.
Have you noticed any crackling, buzzing, or static sounds when playing music on your devices? For your speakers to function properly, it's important that they receive consistent power from your outlet. Has there been a recent power surge or blackout?
As a general troubleshooting step, you can try creating a new home structure in the Google Home app and then factory resetting one of your speakers. Add this speaker to the new home structure. Since all devices are exhibiting the same behavior, this will help us determine if it's related to the existing home structure.
Monitor the device in the new home structure to see if it experiences the same behavior as the others.
Let me know what you find out.
Regards,
Angel.
