Always have to address speaker group

i do have the Google Nest Audio speakers at home for a couple of months. i dont want to create a stereo pair becuase there is some strange behaviour with some songs that have vocals only on one channel. So i am interested in speaker groups that play both channels (left and right) on multiple speakers. But the problem is, that i always have to tell the speaker to play a certain song on downstairs or upstairs (names of the speaker groups). Is there a way i can configure the speakers to allways play as a pair and not having to provide the speaker group every time i provide a command like: Play some billy eilish? The current behaviour is, that only one speaker starts to play the song, because i did not add: on downstairs at the end. What i want is: if either the kitchen or livingroom speakers (both are part of the downstairs speaker group) hear me say: Play XYZ and it belongs to a speaker group, all speakers from that group should start playing the same thing. I can see that this would not be possible if i add a speaker to multiple speaker groups. But if I only add a speaker to a single group, this should be a setting so that i can handle speakers not individually, but as speaker groups. Did i miss this setting somewhere?

BTW, i have seen the post about "Having trouble with Speaker groups? Read this first" But there is no real description about the issue at hand. From what i have read, i think this is a sync issue between multiple devices or something. I dont think i am affected by that because when it plays audio, it plays fine on multiple speakers synchronesly without any issues.

Firmware on my boxes is: 444798

Cast firmware: 3.74.444798

Hi, @pcbona!

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I understand you'd like to play content in a speaker group when you say "Hey Google, play [song name]," but it currently plays on only one speaker instead of all of them. I'm happy to assist you!

Currently, the only option to play audio across multiple speakers simultaneously is to create a stereo pair. If you only mention the name of one speaker, only that speaker will play content. If you give the name of the speaker group, all speakers within that group will play the content.

For more information on creating stereo pairs, please refer to this article: Pair two speakers for stereo sound

Please keep me updated.

Best regards,
