Previous posts from other users have stated that Google Home (1st Gen) display dims excessively. I have the same problem, but if the display brightness is set to AUTO, the Ambient EQ is automatically set to AUTO and the displays are brighter. The problem occurs overnight when Google Home appears to reset the display brightness to AUTO OFF. At that time, the displays dims excessively again. I would have to reset the display brightness to AUTO each and every morning. Is there a way to lock the display brightness to AUTO?? Thanks for any suggestions/help!

Hi dglim00,
I'm sorry to hear you had to go through all that for your Ambien EQ to function properly. Let me help you out. Could you please double check if the sun icon on your Nest Hub is set to auto. Swipe up from the bottom of your screen and you’ll see the sun icon in the lower left hand corner and tap it to reveal the letter “A” which states as auto.
It would also be helpful to check the brightness offset and change it to your liking, follow the steps below:
You can check out this guide for more info and steps to take.
Keep us posted.
Best,
Dam
