Announcements in routines are playing at the same time

I have Google home speakers in multiple rooms. I've set them up to play routines in the morning. At 7am the Google home speaker says it's time to wake up, tells a joke, reads the days events in the calendar then plays music. But the announcements are all happening over the top of each other, joke and calendar happening at the same time so it doesn't make any sense. Any idea what's happening? I've restarted the device, deleted and recreated the routines etc.

Hi corinac,

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community.

This is not the experience that we wanted you to have, let me help you out. Could you check if there is a Family Bell setup too? If there is one created at the same time that your routine is scheduled to start, you can turn it off. Check the instructions below on how to get to that setting.

  1. On a mobile device, open the Google Home app .
  2. On the upper right corner of the screen, tap the account icon and then Assistant settings and then Family Bell.
  3. On the upper right corner of a bell announcement, tap to turn it on or off.

Keep me posted.

Thanks,

Juni

Hi Juni, thanks for sharing your experience. I followed your instructions, there are no bells set up. What else can I try?

Hi corinac,

Thanks for trying. We also want to know what Google speakers you own. Try factory resetting your speakers and observe if the issue remains. Check out this article for guidance on how to reset.

Best regards,

Juni
