We gave our 13-year-old child her own Nest Audio using a Google Family "child's account." We want to use the Google Home app on her device to link the Nest Audio with her account and her Pixel 4a phone.
However, her Google Home app doesn't have the "Add New Device" option under "Add Devices." When I set up the Nest Audio using my own Pixel 6a device and account, it works, but it ends up associated with my information, like my Spotify account and mobile battery percentage.
We want the Nest Audio to be solely hers, connected to HER Google and HER Spotify accounts so that it uses HER Spotify when she asks it to play music. Even though I used the Google Home app on her device to link her Spotify account and it seemed to work, it actually fails without an error message, and we can do it again and again.
The Nest Audio always responds to voice commands with "first link our Spotify account from the Google Home app".
I've already done a factory reset on the Nest Audio. She can stream to the Nest Audio from the Spotify app on her mobile, it's the voice commands that aren't working.
How can we resolve this issue, or how can we enable the "add device" function in her Google Home app without giving her a regular adult Google account?

Hello cYuSeDfZfb,
Thanks for visiting the Community.
Please note that in order to add your child's account to Google Nest and Home devices, they need to be set up first by someone who is 13 years or older. Once her account is added, she will be able to link her own Spotify.
Check out this guide: Let your child use Google Assistant on your devices
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
