Asus AG-AX56 configuration to be compatible with google home app under IOS and Google Nest Hub

Hi,

Can anyone please help me configure the ASUS AG-AX56 router to complete the initialization and configuration of the Google Nest Hub? The Google Home application is unable to detect my Wi-Fi network.

Steps taken:

  1. Connect to Wi-Fi: Choose the Wi-Fi network you'd like to use with your Nest Hub Max.
    • The Google Home app is not detecting my Wi-Fi network, even though my iPhone is connected to the Wi-Fi network and it's working properly.
    • I tried to add the Wi-Fi network manually and clicked 'Next' to complete the configuration, but it still couldn't see the network.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Regards, Elie

Hi there Elie_17,

A Nest Hub that can't connect can be a real bummer. Let's see if we can get it online.

Is your Nest Hub able to detect any other Wi-Fi networks? If you don't have any nearby networks, you can try setting up a Wi-Fi hotspot on your phone and see if your Nest Hub detects it.

You can also try restarting the Nest Hub and phone for a fresh start. To restart the Hub:

  • Disconnect the power cable from the speaker or display.
  • Reconnect the power cable back into the speaker or display.

If your Nest Hub sees any networks after that, try setting up your speaker or display on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands if you have a dual-band router.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,
Angel.
