Audio speed so slow

Lgardner2303

When listening to my podcasts through the mini, the audio is SO slow. I usually listen to podcasts at 1.8/2 speed, my phone shows that speed but it’s definitely not coming through the speaker at that rate.

Also if I skip ahead 30 seconds (skip commercials) or go back 10 seconds, there is a serious delay and it doesn’t do it properly.

Any fixes? I feel as though I’ve searched all the settings and can’t find anything, hopefully I’m just missing it.

Hey Lgardner2303,

Thanks for visiting the Community.

I understand how it feels when you're having issues listening to Podcast on your Nest Mini. To confirm, have you tried the steps above?

@RachelGomez123: I appreciate your help here.

Cheers,

Muddi

I have tried all the suggested options and it didn't work. My audio is still at a speed of 1 (even though on my phone it says 1.8).

Hi Lgardner2303,

That certainly hasn't been easy for you ― let’s check this out.

Could you compare the speed from other podcasts or other music platforms like YouTube if it is also affected? Also, transfer your Google Nest Mini near your router so that we can narrow things down. When you’ve tried the steps given, we should factory reset your Nest Mini to its default and original settings. Doing the set up is a must. Click this link Factory reset Google Nest or Home speakers or displays.

Keep me posted.

Regards,
Dan
