Until maybe the last week, I’ve had an automation through Google Home which triggers BBC Radio 4 to play as an alarm (I’m in the U.K.). It’s worked for perhaps a year to initiate Radio 4 and play it through BBC Sounds. Now, at the time the alarm is set, Google announces “I looked for BBC Radio 4 on the BBC, but it either isn’t available or can’t be played right now”. Curiously, asking the Hub to play “BBC Radio 4” works on the same device to initiate streaming through BBC Sounds. I can see there was a similar issue for some about 12-6 months ago, but I didn’t have that issue at the time.

I look forward to your response.

I get an inconsistent result by deleting the routine. In the new automation replicating the first, the time based trigger works, but a verbal trigger does not. I’ve had to define the Radio Station as “BBC Radio 4 on BBC Sounds” to get that result though.

Thank you for sharing that result. I amended my routine to add "on BBC Sounds" and it has worked fine the last two mornings.

I have an almost identical issue. I have a sunrise alarm which when I press to stop alarm should play BBC Radio 2. It stopped working at about the same time as yours with the same error message. If I then tell the same device to "Play BBC Radio 2" it does it straight away. Have you solved the issue please?
