Brand new nest gen 2 cannot set up

Hi all, this thing is driving me crazy, I have tried all steps to set up but not getting anywhere ( WiFi off to connect to Bluetooth, lack of pairing, downloading another Google app, hard resetting nest gen 2, scanning barcode on screen not recognised and terrible instructions. 

 Based in UK, please can anyone help an old fogey out in nice easy to follow steps, cheers all

You know I had the same problem once I got that resolved I didn’t stop there every single day I got a restart my camera about two times to have work the way I need it to I’m not sure if I dressed the camera or running through Google itself it’s actually a little nerve-racking and scary not just because of it being Google but that’s not be in control of it
