Bricked Nest

Hello just wanted to touch base when a outcome occurs to update my nest from being bricked. As with all posters here I have tried all remedies to no avail. Seems have occurred after the update.

  • How is your device bricked? What do you see on your screen?
  • Is your device powering on?

Hi Frances! I would love to have your assistance to get my Nest 1st gen working again. This issue occurred after I unplugged it and then repowered it. The display alternates between black and grey screen with G on it. I have done all forum remedies to no avail including:

Tried a different outlet
Reset to recovery mode but would just return to the black/grey screen
10x power up and down
Home app still shows it but will not connect to it
Powered off overnight
Updated app,perhaps other things
What else ya got? Thanks
