Broadcast/Shout - Microphone Connection

Hi

I've set up 2 Nest Minis and added Google Home to my APPLE phone

 - then,  when I open the Google search app and use the microphone, I can broadcast/shout to those devices without any trouble. The setup was all straightforward and easy. 

However,  I then added the Google Home app to my wife's ANDROID phone and sent an invitation to her to be a manager of the same devices. This all worked fine but when she opens the Google search app and uses the microphone to broadcast/shout, all that happens is a search on the word broadcast

 - it doesn't connect to the Home app to link to the devices. 

Any ideas would be welcome.

Hi millie80r,

Thanks for visiting the Google Nest Community. Instead of using the Google search app, install the Google Assistant app on your wife's Android phone. Open the Google Assistant app, then give it a command to broadcast message. Also, your wife can try to touch and hold the Home button of her phone to wake Google Assistant.
