Hello w1ksz,

Thanks for reaching out. I appreciate JillG, for helping here.

Please note that calling 911 is not supported on any of our Google Home/Nest speakers and displays.  However, if you have a Nest aware subscription in the US you can use the Google Home app to contact an emergency call center close to your home even if you’re far away. To make emergency calls from the Home app, you’ll need to have a Nest Camera or have sound detection enabled on your speakers or displays (like the Google Home or Google Nest Hub).

Nest aware calls E911 and it's the part of the 911 system that automatically ties a location to the call—whether it's a specific address or coordinates. We don't have a list of states in the US where E911 is supported because the feature depends on network connectivity and other factors, and may not be available in all areas. The 911 feature will connect you with the 911 call center covering the home address you provide during setup of this feature.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Muddi

Hi @w1ksz

Depends on your location and is subject to network connectivity and some other factors.

Read this article for all the details:Emergency calling with Nest Aware - Google Nest Help

So, you are saying that unless I subscribe to some service (Nest Aware ??)

my Google Nest Hub WILL NOT dial 911.

Is that correct ?

Yes, the feature that will be used needs to have the Nest Aware subscription.  Calling emergency numbers without the Aware subscription is not supported.

From what I read on the Web, Nest Aware
does NOT call 911, it calls e911.

A subtle but very important difference.

From what I have read, only about
half the States in the Union support
e911 and Arizona is not one of them.

I suggest your response to questions
of this like be more specific and accurate.
