Can not change language on hub

I have tried everything to change the language on my hub..reboot, going through assistant..casting English YouTube which worked for the cast but not for anything else.  What else can I do. Please help

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I'm sorry to know that you're unable to change the language on your Nest Hub. I'm happy to help you! 

To help me find the best solution, I'll need to ask you a few questions:

  1. What kind of generations of your Nest Hub do you have?
  2. When did the inconvenience start?
  3. Where did you purchase the Nest Hub? 

In the meantime, please try to do the following steps: 

  1. Update Assistant language
    • Open the Google Home app .
    • Tap Settings and then Google Assistant and then Manage all Assistant settings
    • Tap Languages and then Choose languages for speaking to your Assistant and then Select the current language set.
  2. Go to your mobile phone's language settings and choose the language you want the hub to be in as the default.
  3. Uninstall the Google Home app then install it back
