Can't connect to new wifi router

I have a FIOS modem/router and added a TP-Link AC1750 Smart WiFi Router (Archer A7) -Dual Band Gigabit Wireless Internet Router.  I deleted the mini speaker and Nest Display from my Home and tried adding them while logged into the new wifi network with no success.  I have made numerous attempts, and every time it seems like it has worked, the device makes a sound to verify connection to correct device, and then after confirming wifi network and password, I get a message that it cannot communicate with the device.  Phone is connected to the new wifi network.  I have also tried setting them up on the old network and that won't work either.

Problem resolved.  I had to do a factory reset on both devices in order to set them up on the new network.
