For whatever reason, I was unable to cast or connect to my Google Nest Hub 1st gen (model H1A), so I decided after a reboot that it wouldn't hurt to just factory reset it and try to re-set it up.
Unfortunately now I can't finish the setup. I get all the way through the setup to almost the end, then I get an error on my phone saying
"Your Nest Hub was setup successfully but can't be found. Make sure your mobile device and Nest Hub are on the same Wi-Fi network.
Turn off AP isolation
If AP isolation is enabled on your router, you will need to disable it."
The Nest hub is stuck at the screen saying "Connected, Follow the instructions in the Google Home app."
I have already verified that AP isolation is disabled in my router settings, and that UPnP is enabled. For my wifi, the 5ghz band has DFS disabled (because Roku doesn't play nice with it) and is set to 80mhz. the 2.4ghz band is set to 20mhz.
I'm honestly at my wits end because I don't know why it's not seeing the device.

I am having the same issue with my 1st gen home hub, hopefully there will be a solution.

Hi folks,
Thanks for reaching out.
Since you've attempted to set it up again, let's make sure that these settings are met:
Configuring your Router Settings
Enable: Universal Plug and Play (UPnP), multicast, Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP)
Disable: AP/client isolation, virtual private networks (VPNs), proxy servers, IGMP Proxy. VPNs and proxy servers should be disabled on your computer as well (if applicable).
Hope this info helped.

Princess

Hello Princess, thank you for the info.
I have verified the settings that you have recommended. After running the initial set up steps and the hub installs the update it the 4 dots spin and nothing happens. The hub is online, I am able to go to the Google Home app and adjust the volume and I get the clicking sound from the hub.
It seems like it goes bad after the update is complete.

Hi Princess,
Here are pictures, one of the display with the spinning dots and one from the Google Home app. The display is added in the app, and I can adjust the volume and it clicks from the home hub.
