Can't redirect music to another connected speaker

For several weeks now, I and many other people (Google Home France forum on Facebook) can no loger redirect music to another system.

So, for example, asking Google Nest Mini : 'OK Google play Vivaldi on XYZ' does not longer work.

The same problem happens in France for Spotify and Deezer.

You can still redirect Tunein so "OK Google play radio x on XYZ" works fine.

I tried to delete and then link the music service again in Google Home but it does not do anything.

Note: I repeat, I am not the only one.

Very annoying.

Had the same problem here in the US.   I downloaded the latest Home app 3.30.106  and it solved the problem.

Thank you for posting in the community. I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing inconvenience with redirecting music to another system. I'm happy to help.

To understand why this is happening, please provide the following information:

  • How many Google Nest speakers do you own?
  • Are you attempting to redirect music to any other Google-compatible speakers in addition to your Nest speakers?
  • Does this inconvenience occur exclusively with music services?
  • When did the inconvenience begin?

In the meantime, I recommend visiting the article Link your music services and set your default service.
