Can't remove offline Nest Mini

Welah
Community Member

I've had several Nest mini devices that I've had to get rid of because they eventually stop working (good job, Google).

As a result, I have a few speakers listed in my Google Home app that I can't get rid of! I can't move them, I can't rename them, and I can't delete them because there's no settings button when I open the device in the app.

Is there anything I can do, or am I doomed to have defunct speakers cluttering up my app forever?

Try these steps:
  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Rooms and groups.
  4. Tap the room the device was assigned to.
  5. Tap the device.
  6. Tap Remove device.
If those steps don't work, try these steps:
  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Tap your photo or initials at the top right.
  3. Tap Assistant settings.
  4. Tap Devices.
  5. Tap the device.
  6. Tap Unlink this device.
