Cannot Factory Reset Nest Audio Speaker

A while back I needed to factory reset my Nest Audio Speaker. I followed all the steps to the letter but now it will not reset. It simply hangs there with the front light displays moving from left to right as if its searching for wifi etc and then simply stops.

This happens every few minutes but still does not turn back on.

I have tried absolutely everything but cannot get the speaker back online.

Any advice or suggestions would be most appreciated as I desperately want my Nest Audio back.

Hey @davep123 have you tried the troubleshooting guide here?

if so,did it work for you? it didnt for me but maybe im doing something wrong..

im in touch with Google support ,even sent them a video of Nest's current state when they asked me for it ,if and when i have any news i ll let you know

Welcome to the team !

@davep123& @GreatCanadian we have an update!

Google supprort sent me all the RMA paperwork and upon packaging i realised the had my adrress wrong !!!!

To be more exact,they had the country wrong!!! I live in Greece,they decided that i live in Italy 😲

Got in touch with them , just to find out that they can't change the adrress (!!!!) and that the Nest device is out of stock (!!!!) in my country,eventhough i was instracted to send it to Poland 🙄 🤐

Now everything has been postponed for unknown time ☹️ and i'm just waiting for a Senior Support guy to coordinate with another Senior Support guy or guys,i don't know, to figure out something...

A real mess 😤

The fact is that i'm runnin out of patience..

This case has gone really far for no obvious reason!

I ve provited your specialized team with a phisical adrress, they wrote the country wrong! The country!!!!!

I ve provited your specialized team the phisical adrress again, this time along with some Google maps photos, directions, total silence,for a week now, no responce!!

So i woudnt call them "specialized team", sorry.

Gotta wonder about these speakers. I have 2 nest audios, paired. One is on the latest firmware update. The other just will not update. I have a nest hub 2 in my bedroom that won't show the app launcher. Brutal.

I understand where you are coming from. I also followed up with them and rest assured that there are doing everything to send the replacement of your device.

 

@GreatCanadian: May I know the firmware version of your devices? Also, have you tried resetting and connecting one of your Nest Audio to a different network to check if it receive an update?

Hi,

My home mini is on 1.56.324896

My Nest Audio is on 1.56.324896

My newer Nest Audio is on an older version, but cannot seem to be able to get that right now. That's the one I can't seem to update.

My Nest Hub 2 is on 1.56.324896

The one nest audio that I cannot update is on an older firmware.

The Nest Hub will not show the app launcher. 

I have reset all devices. I have deleted the entire setup. Uninstalled and reinstalled the Google Home app. I have set up all devices again under a new Home and still have the same issues.
