Sleep sensing ends prematurely when I go to the bathroom!

A Nest Hub newbie - I've set up sleep monitoring, but when I go to the bathroom in the night (I'm that age!) the monitoring thinks that's the end of my sleep and reports a short sleep duration for the night. Any way of having it continue monitoring until the normal wake time?

Hi stevebower,

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community.

It's not pausing that's necessary, it's incorporating the idea that sleep may be 'split', so between the set hrs (00.00 to 08.00 for me) there may be out-of-bed intervals that can be disregarded as 'getting up' triggers.

It's not just us old fellas - young marrieds may need it too!

The fact that Sleep Sensing works as noted by @stevebower is the reason I don't use it; it makes the function worthless.

Though looking at the data as per here, https://flic.kr/p/2o5MECo  what are the transitions at about 02.15 & 05.45? Is that recognising a break? (I'll start taking a night 'diary').
