Cannot connect to wifi

Lost internet connect. Will not reconnect

Was your Google Home speaker successfully connected to Wifi previously?

Try these steps:

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. At the bottom, tap Devices > + Add > New device.
  3. Follow the in-app steps.

If these steps above don’t solve the issue, first time powering the speaker off and on again, then try those steps again. If not resolved, you’ll need to factory reset your speaker or display, then set it up again.

@Grayble, were you able to factory reset your Google Home device? What’s the exact behavior when setting it up again to your WiFi? Are you getting an error message?

We did many factory resets and deleted the Google home app off my phone and reloaded an fresh version of the app. The Home is connected to wifi. The message we get is to set up the Google Home app on the phone so something is not being recognized.

I just wanted to confirm, the message you were getting is from your Google Home whenever you give it a command? Are you using a dual-band router? If yes, on which band did you connect your Google Home?
