Change Phone Number used with Duo

becbaby

I just got a Nest Hub Max and it is linked to my google account which is linked to my cell number. My home internet is powered by Google Home Nest Wifi. I would like to use a google phone number to be displayed when calling to/from my Hub Max Display - essentially making my Hub work like a house line. Is that possible? I have obtained a google phone number but when I make a duo call with the Hub it still shows up as my cell number.

Hi @becbaby, The only call carriers that can be used in the US are Google Fi and Google Voice, it doesn't appear that it can be your landline carrier. You will have to change the phone number associated with your Duo account. It might complicate things if it's not the same number as your regular calling service if you place a duo call with your cell phone on a different number. You should reach out to the Duo support forum for details as PEs there may have better details.

Here are instructions for setting up calling using Nest devices.
