Chopping music with grouped speakers

When I play music to my grouped Google Home speakers it's always 'choppy' and I have to unlink them. It plays fine on each individual speaker, but when they are grouped its awful. When grouped it plays fine through my Nest hub but chopping/ cuts out on my Nest mini and home mini

Hey amyjdrom,

Sorry to hear about your Google Home and Nest Mini speakers, but thanks for bringing this up - we'd love to help. A few questions - how many speakers do you have? How far are they from your router? Does the same issue happen when you cast manually from your phone to your speaker group?

Here are the steps that you can try:

  1. Move your Google Home and Nest devices within 15-20 ft. away from the router to get enough signal from your network.
  2. Reboot your Google Home and Nest Mini devices and router by disconnecting them from the power source and leave them unplugged for 1 minute. Once done, plug them back one at a time with intervals.
  3. Delete your current speaker group, then recreate a new one.
  4. Check if the speakers will have the same behavior.

Let me know how it goes.

Cheers,

Muddi
