Chrome Stream to Google Audio Devices

Bastian5000

Hello,

in the Chrome browser under Windows 10 there is no option to stream audio only to Google Audio devices. The Chrome stream button in the browser only shows the devices with a display (hubs and TVs). How can I ensure that I can stream the audio from YouTube Music from the browser to the audio devices (speaker groups and other devices without displays)?

Thanks for your help

Hi @Bastian5000,

Thanks for reaching out to the community! I'm sorry to hear that you're having inconveniences casting audio from Chrome to your Google audio devices. Let's fix this.

To better understand the situation, please provide the following information:

  • What specific Google audio devices are you trying to cast to (e.g., Nest speaker, Chromecast Audio)?
  • Is the device already set up in the Google Home app?
  • How long has this inconvenience been happening? Did it work previously?
  • Have you tried casting audio from a different browser?

In the meantime, you can try these steps:

  • Update Chrome: Make sure you're using the latest version of Chrome.
  • Check Wi-Fi: Verify that both your computer and Google audio device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Reboot: Restart your computer and Google audio device to refresh the connection.

If you continue to experience inconveniences, please check the next article for no audio devices found: No Cast destination found.

Please keep me updated.

Best regards,

Jenniffer
