Chromecast audio half working

Hi, I hope I am asking in the right place.

• I have a Chromecast audio that was working fine with my Google minus nests etc. I am aware there was a fix put out for the issue of them not working recently, but now it only half works.  Google home as well as my Google speakers all recognize it, an I can cast to it fine.  If I ask Google to play anything to it "ok Google play hits of the 80's to shop stereo"  it will respond "playing Spotify playlist hits of the 80's on shop stereo" but no sound. It won't even show in the home app that anything is playing.  Google minus nest etc will play the requested music through their built in speakers, just not through the Chromecast audio.

Thanks for reaching out. I understand that when you ask for Google Play hits from the 80s to shop for stereo equipment, it doesn't show any sound or results. I'm happy to assist you! Before I continue, could you please tell me what troubleshooting steps you have tried before contacting?
