Chromecast doesn’t appear when i try to create a group

Hi, I have a home mini (2nd gen), and a chromecast. Both connected to the same wifi, when I try to create a group, only the google home mini appears. Any thoughts on how to solve this?

  • What model is your Chromecast?
  • How many speakers do you have?
  • When did this inconvenience start happening?
  • Have you successfully used the speaker group feature before?
  • Are you getting any error messages?

In the meantime, let's check a few things:
 

  • Chromecast firmware version: Make sure your Chromecast has the latest firmware. Check the current version and update if needed. Here's a helpful article: Chromecast firmware versions and release notes.
  • Google Home app and mobile software: Ensure you're using the most recent versions of the Google Home app and your mobile device's software.
  • Network connection: Verify that your Chromecast is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your other devices.
