Connecting Google Nest Hub to Ring doorbells

Hi there,

I'm sure this has been asked before but I needed help in connecting my Google nest hub to my Ring doorbells video that was a gift to me. I'm moving into an apartment and will have my own WiFi once I'm there.

Thanks in advance!

Anna

Hello everyone!

I understand you'd like to view your Ring doorbell video on your Nest Hub. While there isn't a direct connection, we can work around it using Google Assistant.

Limited Ring Integration with Nest Hub:

  • Download the Ring app on your phone and set up your doorbell following their instructions.
  • On your phone, open the Google Assistant app and search for "Ring." Follow the on-screen prompts to link your Ring account with Google Assistant.

Here's what you can (and can't) do after linking:

  • You can't access a live video feed directly on Nest Hub.
  • Answering the door with voice commands through Nest Hub isn't currently supported.
  • If your Ring doorbell supports it, and your Nest Hub is set up for visitor announcements, you might receive an announcement when someone rings the doorbell.

Alternatives for Live Video and Other Features:

  • The Ring app lets you view live video, answer the door, and see recordings of doorbell activity.

Best,
