I am not experiencing a problem, just want to pick brains...
How is it possible that I can control my Nest Audio (adjust volume, change track, etc) via the Home app with both Wifi & Bluetooth turned off on my Android. How is this possible since there's no explicit connection (local or net) to the Nest.
Thanks for any insight.

Most phones also have a cellular radio that connects to the internet, and then to your home.

but all mobile connections are off (wifi, Bluetooth, mobile data) so how does the Home app connect to the Nest to allow for volume changes etc

It won't, either wifi or cellular is on

my wifi and cellular data are disabled on the android device (it's essentially offline) but the Home app still seems to be using some cellular data, is that correct? Using background data setting via 2G? I've no concerns, just curious.
