Hey,
I bought my dad Google Nest mini 2 and we connected it to our 2020 Samsung 8 series TV with smart things but it only works for small tasks like turning the volume up or turning off the TV. Is there a way to for example open spotify or paritcular film on Disney+ using the Nest?
Can't wait for the answers 🙂

Hi,
I'd suggest purchasing a Chromecast with Google TV device! You'll even get another Google assistant built-in to the device.

Hey skowi,
Thanks for reaching out! I appreciate Cathal_S and RachelGomez123 for helping here.
To confirm, do you have a cast-enabled TV? If yes, you can set it up directly to the Google Home app to be able to do a lot of things like turning on/off, launching YouTube, YouTube Music, and Netflix. Please visit this link for more information.
If your device was set up on the SmartThings app, there are few things that you can do. Depending on what the third-party app permits. Click here to learn more.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,

It is connected, I can control the volume or turn on/off the TV - the point is that when I try to control smart TV with it, for example say like „turn on home alone on disney+” it says that it can’t do it for various reasons. According to samaung this TV is compatible with the google home.
