Custom routine not activating by voice command.

I've created a couple of custom routines to be activated by voice command.

However, when I say "Ok google, <voice command>" my smart display replies with either "I don't understand" or with search results.

I initially thought that my voice command was somehow reserved, so have tried various things...
"Start work", "Start office", "Get ready for work", "Finished work", "Prepare office", "Shutdown office".

I've even tried being more directive, "Hey Google, run the Prepare Office routine".... with no success.

The routine will run if I open the Home App on my phone, navigate to routines and click the play button, but this is slower than issuing all the individual commands to the smart display; "Hey google turn on office pc", "hey google turn on office radiator", "hey google play radio 6 on office display".

Hey there,
Sorry for the late response, but I wanted to drop in here to help.

I understand that these issues can be confusing but I definitely wanted to stop by and see how I could help.

Just wanted to double check to see if you were still needing help on this? If so, what troubleshooting steps have you tried?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,
Garrett DS

Yes, routines still do not work.

Hey there,

What troubleshooting steps have you tried?

Best regards,

Garrett DS

If you read the original post, it includes details of what I have tried.

Hey there,

Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the app or tried clearing the cache from the app? It sounds like this may be a better question for the

Google Assistant Forum as this is a question that they would be able to help answer.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Best regards,

Garrett DS

Thanks for the suggestion.
I have had a new phone in that time, so the app is effectively a clean install.
I will try the Google Assistant Forum.

Thanks for your help.

Hey folks,
I'm going to be locking this thread. If you have any other concerns or questions, please feel free to create a new thread.

Have a great day.
