Device Name Won't Change

When attempting to change the device name of my Google Home, it doesn't. The Home app let's me change it, but it doesn't actually change. Please view attached video for details.

Same problem. For new devices names have been generated to be like room names and cannot be changed - looks the same as the attached example.

I appreciate the video you sent @MrDevanWright. 

Has anyone tried resetting the Google Home since changing it from the app won't work? Let's go ahead and perform a complete reset and check if that would change its behavior.
