Devices show up as wifi connections

Every device I have in my house appears to be an UNSECURED WiFi access point when I look at WiFi settings on my iPhone.  How do I hide them so that passers by can’t use my internet?  Better yet, how do I turn this feature off?

The nest devices should only appear if they aren't set up, once set up they should not be visible at all.  Can you confirm they are all setup and connected to your home network ?

They are all set up and functioning in my “home.”  They all show up via their device names.

This is interesting, though. I was just going to take a screen shot to show them and today they are gone (invisible, as they should be).  I suspect they were showing up yesterday because my home internet was down.  I’ll need to experiment to see if that is truly the case.

ah yes, if your internet drops connection then the devices would appear, but as long as you have a connection they will be invisible.
