Long story short - - Google Home and a Google mini on the same account, but on different floors. Ask one for a certain artist, it plays it - go upstairs to the other (first one is already off), ask for the same artist, get something different. How can this be? This has happened many, many times for many different artists, albums, playlists.

Hey Wetzelfamily,
Thanks for reaching out and that certainly hasn't been easy — let me help you out.
A few questions: what's the exact command you've used in playing music on your Google Home speakers? What's your default music provider? Also, if you have a premium account, you'll hear specific songs/albums/artists while a free one will only give you music inspired by the song/album/artist. Make sure your Google Home, music and Google Assistant apps are updated.
Best,
Alex

All smart speakers have YouTube Premium as the default music provider. I use the command, hey Google, play [artist].
