Disable Phone Feature

I'm an introvert. I do not want my Google Home Hub Display to EVER make a phone call. On several occasions I've said "ALL lights on", and the system responds, "Calling........". It literally sends me into an absolute PANIC trying to cancel the call.

Is there an option to disable ALL calling, or at least a confirmation. A simple "Are you sure you want to make this Call" would work just fine.

I understand how frustrating and stressful that can be! Unfortunately, Google Home devices don’t currently have a built-in setting to disable calling entirely. However, you can try the following solutions:

  1. Remove Linked Phone Number – If you’ve linked your phone number in the Google Home app, removing it should prevent calls from going through.
  2. Disable Voice & Video Calls in Google Assistant – Open the Google Home app, go to Settings > Communication > Call Providers, and disable any calling services.
  3. Use a Custom Routine – You can create a routine in the Google Home app where saying “All lights on” only triggers the lights and not calling.
  4. Contact Google Support – If the issue persists, reaching out to Google support might help find a more permanent solution.

Hopefully, one of these steps helps prevent any accidental calls!

Can I unlink only the phone number?
So far the only 100% workaround I've found is to create a new google account specifically for Google home. It could technically still make a call, but there would be no contacts to call.

What about in your phone's settings > Apps > Home > Permission > Phone > Don't allow???

But I'm always confused whether it means the app on the phone or your Google Home speakers.
