I want to show my photos from google, but it turns back after a few pictures, and shows the clock. On my Nest Hub 1gen, it shows my photos all the time.. How can I disable display timeout?

Hi Leffelur,

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community.

I know how it feels when something isn’t working as it should, so let’s get this resolved. Could you check these settings and let me know how it goes?

Google Home app:

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  3. At the top right, tap Settingsand thenPhoto Frameand thenadjust the settings you want.

Nest display:

  1. From the bottom of your Nest display screen, swipe up.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Photo Frameand thenadjust the settings you want.

If you have Voice Match enabled, you can also say “Hey Google, change Photo frame” to open Photo frame settings on your Nest display.

You can also check the display settings wherein you need to select "Show Clock" and make sure that Screen Timeout is turned off. Lastly, make sure to adjust the ambient settings for the Google Nest Hub display by swiping up the bottom of the screen and enabling the ambient settings for it to adjust to its environment.

Keep me posted.

Thanks,

Juni

Hi Leffelur,

Thanks for the response. I understand that troubleshooting can be troublesome, but you don’t need to worry because your Google Home app’s data is stored in the cloud and if you uninstall and reinstall the app make sure to use the same account so all the devices will load back up.

Let me know how it goes.

Juni
