Distorted audio

Aideeb
Community Member

about a month ago I noticed both google speakers 1st Gen. Started playing music as if the speaker is blown out, music or any sound is distorted and muffled. I have mini nest speakers in each bedroom in my home and also a display and they are all working normally. I find it a coincidence that both older generations sound was distorted at the same time. I believe this is a result of an update or another issue. Please advise.
I tried everything I could

1. reset speakers

2.restarted network

3. check cables etc

Check settings in google home app, still doesn’t work and I am extremely frustrated.  Up to a month ago they both working absolutely fine.

Hi Aideeb,

Thanks for bringing this up.

We're sorry to hear that you're experiencing this with your Google Home Mini. I also appreciate all the details you've shared and the steps that you have tried. To sort this thing out, could you try to move the Google Home speakers closer to the router? Also, it would be a big help to restart your router simply by unplugging it from the power source for at least a few minutes to refresh your network settings and avoid congestion on your network.

Let us know how it goes.

Best,

Princess

I have google router and a mesh, they are both in the same room as the speakers. I also unplugged them, same issue remains.
