Factroy reset Nest now won't reconnect to app

Hey

I was prompted to factory reset my google home nest and I did. Since doing so, it will not connect to the google home app via wifi again.
It gives the same pop up saying it is unable to connect and to connect when prompted.
It was working with nil issue prior to this.

ALL of my Google products including my brand new pixel 9 phone are having issues with the Internet. Doesn't matter what Internet connection I use. I currently cannot even login to my YouTube TV account nor can I even update my Chromecast due to the connection issues. This all started with the January Google update. 

And no, it is not my Internet. My son has a pixel 9 and he is having the same issues, on a completely separate Wi-Fi outside of my home. We have literally tried everything to get things to work, including factor updates, which I was nearly unable to get my phone to work when I received it in the mail due to not being able to login to my google account or transfer settings from my old pixel.

I did find a solution to get my phone to work....using cellphone data and turning off Wi-Fi. Anytime I need to login something or track things live, like with Uber eats, etc., I have to turn Wi-Fi off and use cellphone data. The problem is that this doesn't work with Chromecast, for the obvious reason of needing to have a wifi connection to be able to use Chromecast. 

I know for a fact that it's not an internet issue as other people in my home have non google devices and they have no issues whatsoever logging in, using YouTube TV, streaming, casting via Bluetooth, the works.... It ONLY google devices. 

I've left numerous feedbacks with google on this issue and I've received no reply.

Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear about the situation that you are facing with the WiFi connection of your device after the factory reset. I understand how frustrating it can be when things don't work as expected. But don't worry; help is here. I just need to ask for some information to provide the best solution:

  • What Nest device do you have?
  • What steps did you take to solve the situation?
