Family Notes not display and unavailable to family

Hi All

When I create a Family Note on the Nest Hub Max, it does not display for 24 hours as it should. Family memebers can ask to see those notes, and that works, but that defeats the 'sticky note' idea for it.

In addition, whilst my shopping list works for all the family, Family Notes that I have created in Assistant aren't available when a family member asks to see Family Notes, despite having been shared with the family group.


Any ideas/help?

Hi Jake, as stated when anyone of the family (apart from me who created the note) asks the Nest Hub Max to see family notes it says 'there are no family notes' whereas when I ask it shows the notes. This defeats the point of family notes>
In addition Family Notes do not display on the front page for 24 hours like a sticky note at all

I am keen to see if an answer for this is coming.

 

Tried leaving a note for my wife. Experienced the same issue. Then found notes from 322 days ago (the last time I tried this feature). I had hoped for a fix by now.

Hey all,

 

Sorry for the late reply. When creating a Family Note on a display that belongs to a home, the note is visible on all displays in the same home. If you have a Google Family Group setup, Family Notes won’t be automatically shared with other users in the group unless they view them on the display. Once a Family Note is created, it sticks on the ambient screen on all displays in the same home for 24 hours. After that, it will show up on the My Day page on displays. Sorry, that does not help.

You have stated what the Family note should do, not what this and another thread and many threads on reddit are saying does happen. We already know what it should do.

The note does not show for 24 hours or any hours on the ambient display.

In addition no one in my family, apart from the creator, can see a fmily notes and lists - when someone asks to see family lists Google Assisstant says you have none unless you created those lists

The team stated that they are still working on it.

But no date can be given.

I understand that this may not be a priority but the response made me feel that the nest hub max is another product that Google has given less than the required support. It could be a brilliant device but it is sadly not living up to its potential.

I don't think it works for anyone. It's just amazing that all these "community specialists" keep popping in and saying the same nonsense. Like they're not even reading what everyone here is posting.

Had the same problem. I have a family group of 6 and wanted to make a shopping list. Only i have the option in Google keeps share a note and they can't see any note I share and they can't even share notes because to option doesn't show

Come on man, we are just looking for a feature similar to leaving a sticky note on the fridge before i take my dog out for a walk.
