Have been listening to Triple M FM Melbourne for a year with out issue. Suddenly today it plays a different station from what I'm asking for. After a little investigating, I find that radio stations that are linked to either iHeart and Tunein are being played, but nothing via the Listnr app. Has the Listnr app been dropped.
"Help" pages instruct to arrange your radio requirements via Media>Manage your system>Radio (button) But there is no Radio button (Only Music, Video, Podcast or Create Groups)

Me again, I have unplugged everything and left it all off for an hour, I plugged the router back in and once it was up and running left it for a couple of minutes and then plugged in the first mini. Once the mini was up and running did the usual hey google play radio four and got the now familiar "I can't do that here but you can ask me to play it on one of your other devices" needless to say the other minis and the screen are also the same, something has gone seriously wrong over the past few days, can Google respond in some way to let us know what they are doing to investigate the problem. For me the minis and the screen are now next to useless and I am not amused. It would also appear that a number of other people are having the same problem, also looking through the history on the site it would appear that this is not the first time this problem has occurred what was done to fix it last time it happened in 2022?

THIS same here, I get the same response on my minis and on my displays it directs me to the radio station website. I heart radio, audacy WFAN in NY, tune in stations....it was FINE yesterday 4/11/23
When I try to play a radio station on TuneIn and when I try to play a Sirius XM station, it tells me it is either unavailable or can't be found.

I can no longer play radio 2 or any Radio station

Hi alanshepherdson,
Thanks for bringing this up.
When did you first notice this? Could you please provide us the exact command that you are trying so we can also check if we will still get the same results?
Also, aside from Radio 2, do you experience this to other radio stations? We'd love to know more of it so we can start some steps that might resolve this.
Best,
Princess

I can't get my Google to play any local radio stations, no matter how I ask it. I've tried every variation possible.
03-15-2023 03:50 AM
Hi there,
Can you please provide information on what local stations are not playing.
03-15-2023 04:12 AM
It won't play Heart Yorkshire or any other local radio stations (Yorkshire/Leeds)

Hello everyone,
Thanks for your assistance, @Cathal_S.
@Lynniew, a few questions: when did this issue start? What's the response that you're getting from your Google Home device? Have you tried some troubleshooting steps?
@BigT2, please try to create a routine with an action to play BBC Radio Solent and check if it works or not.
Keep me posted.
Cheers,
Lovely

This happened a few weeks ago & still haven't been able to get local radio. This happened a year ago or so but we were able to ask it to play it using a different format. But nothing works this time. I ask it & it replied"I donk know but I've found these options" then it displays a Google search.
I've done all the the troubleshooting & I still get the same.
03-29-2023 06:07 AM
Hi, there was a routine for a morning news broadcast and it worked fine, which made the problem even more mystifying. I raised the issue with BBC Sounds, and they replied after a few days " Google had released a fix for this issue, and we have tested it since and found it to be working. It should be working again for you as well but if not, please get back in touch by using the link below."
03-30-2023 03:39 AM
It still doesn't play local radio stations. It plays national stations but asking it to play local stations & it's still "I do t know but here is what I found"

Hi follks,
@Lynniew, please factory reset on one of your Google Home or Nest devices and set it up. Tell me if the issue persists.
@BigT2, I appreciate the update. I'm glad to know everything's all good on your end. If you have other questions or concerns, give me a shout.
Best,
Lovely

Mine has stopped playing BBC Radio Solent
03-20-2023 12:22 AM
To be clear - The Google speakers used to play BBC Radio Solent, there was a period in the middle of 2021 when it stopped and denied all knowledge of the station and some, but not all others. There was a long exchange here between several people as it affected many in England. by 13 July 2021 it was restored without explanation by either Google or the BBC. Now around a week ago it has stopped again. Instead of outright denial I receive the message "I can't do that here, but can ask me to play it on one of your other devices" Of course I cannot regardless of what I try. I can still play BBC Radio 4 or other local radio stations like Radio Trent. The weirdest thing is the that the Speaker is set to give me the local news each morning. and yes it still does! Each morning I get the latest news from BBC Radio Solent!
04-12-2023 07:36 AM
I listen to NPR stations all day every day on my Home minis. Starting yesterday afternoon, when I'd say "Hey Google, play WBUR (or WGBH, WRVO)" like I do all the time, it responded "I looked for WBUR (WGBH, WRVO...). It either isn't available, or can't be played right now." My sister is having the same issue at her house five miles away.

Hi
When I ask my nest mini to play greatest hits radio on tune in, it plays for a few seconds then stops. The white lights go left to right then the coloured lights show, it makes some sort of notifying sounds and turns off. The other day it wouldn't play any BBC stations, but plays them now.
Do I need to do a reset?
04-09-2023 07:41 PM
Hey Lesley22,
Thanks for visiting the Community.
Sorry to know about your experience with your Google Nest Mini. It looks like your device is rebooting. A few questions: how often do you experience the issue? Does it only happen while listening to a specific radio station in TuneIn? How about when playing music? Are you using the original power cable that comes with the package? Is it plugged in on the wall outlet or power stripper?
Please make sure that the power cable is connected properly at the back of your Nest Mini. Also, we recommend that you plug in the device directly to the wall outlet to get enough power.
Looking forward to your response.
Cheers,
Muddi

Hi Muddi
Thank you for your reply. This was happening every time I tried to play the station on Tunein called greatest hits radio. I am using the cable that came with the device and it is always plugged into the wall socket. I disconnected and then reconnected both ends of the castle and it will now play the station for 2-3 hours before shipping (I don't use it to play music, only radio). However, it now refuses to play any BBC radio stations; when I ask it to do that it replies "I can't do that here, but you can ask me to play it on one of your other devices". A friend is having the same issue with her Google device, it's there a problem with Google devices playing BBC stations? I have an Alexa in another building and that plays them fine.
Best wishes, Lesley 22

Just bought a new Nest Audio device. Trying to play radio stations but get the error message "I looked for Xxxx but it isn't available or can't be played right now." I went into the Google Home app and selected media, radio, and the only radio app there is SiriusXM. No TuneIn, no iHeartRadio. Any idea what's wrong?

Has Google smart speakers and nest hub’s gone stupid?
they are no longer playing radio stations by name even if referenced with the service i.e. TuneIn, or NPR.
04-12-2023 02:23 PM
See this link, Google sucks right now for all things "radio" "SiriusXM, and some "Spotify" too.
04-12-2023 03:36 PM
That's sort of a relief...I couldn't get any NPR stations to play this morning, and attempts to play stations through TuneIn failed too. SiriusXM was working, but only if I asked it to play the channel number (it claimed to not be able to find channels by name).
04-12-2023 03:43 PM
How about all the companies that are paying google to stream their content on Google, and now can't. From SiriusXM, to iHeart Radio, NPR, BBC, etc etc. That's a lot of money people are paying Google, and now all that streaming just went away.
I hope Google is providing big refunds.
And how about us, those of us that bought Nest speakers or similar and are connected to Google Home, and we can't even use them now. Well maybe only to ask only for stupid things like "what time is it google?".
