Fixing Home 'kGSKErrorDomain' error

Ibka8044
Community Member

My Google home speaker randomly stopped working last night. I reset the device and after going through set up and successfully connecting to wifi, I got this error message ‘Operation couldn’t be completed (kGSKErrorDomain error -82905.)’

I tried resetting the router and the Google home speaker. I tried changing the language on my iOS device to both English (US) and English (UK) as some threads suggested, but none of them did the trick. Please Help!

Hi @Ibka8044

We've seen this error posting in the community before and it is related to using a device in an unsupported region or language.

Where are you located?

Hey there,

Thanks for the help, JillG!

@Ibka8044, how's it going with your Google Home? Are you still having trouble setting it up? If so, try clearing the cache and data of your Google Home app then, reinstall it. Also, make sure you're using a regular Google Account.

Let us know how it goes.

Best,

Alex
