GOOGLE MINI AND MEDIA ALARMS

RSVCS1
Community Member

POSTED THIS ABOUT 4 WEEKS AGO:

I have the media alarm set to Spotify music to begin at 4 am. I am now all of a sudden getting this Google Assistant extremely annoying bong each morning instead of my music. If I go into my Home app I can see that Spotify is playing although it is not. If I adjust the sound the music begins to play. Does anyone know how to get rid of the Google Assistant from my alarm? It is not located anywhere in my alarms. I have reset the Google Mini to factory and also reset my alarm and voice controls several times. Still, that annoying bong comes back.

After answering many requests to complete factory reset several times, fill in a form and supply a firm wear number and make a new Home, etc I have done it all in accordance with the request then the support was closed with no resolution. The annoying Google Assistant took over my new home media alarm this morning once again. I am so through with Google mini and this assistant! I do not understand why I cannot remove this Google Assistant. I do not know why support cannot tell me how to remove it.

I just wish that I could get some support with this request. How do I remove Google Assistant from my Google Mini?

Hi RSVCS1,

Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us.

That certainly hasn’t been easy for you. Let’s check what’s going on. By any chance do you know if you created a routine instead of a media alarm? Here are the steps on how to check routines.

  1. On your phone or tablet, open the Google Home app Google Home.
  2. On the Home screen, tap Routines .
  3. Check each routine if you have one that starts every 4am.
  4. Select the Routine you want to delete.
  5. At the top, tap Delete and then Delete routine.

You can check these helpful articles and keep me posted for updates.

I decided to delete and replace the Google mini for the Alexa dot. Nothing has worked to remove the Google Assistant. I have not added any routines or anything. It is as I stated. Even by adding a new home the Google Assistant kept sending me messages that I missed my 4 am alarm until finally it found my new home and invaded it once again. I had the old home connected to my nest ac unit. I'm just done with this. Alexa Dot should serve me better where since Google Assistant cannot invade me there
