I have set up my google home for the good night feature and when I say good night, google will tell me the weather and then play crickets and turn off all my lights in my bedroom. What is happening is, she will start to say the weather and then suddenly stop and not finish. I've noticed this the past few weeks now and unsure how to fix this? I've checked firmware but seem it automatically updates on it's own.
Any suggestions
Cheers

Hi Brenza,
Glad you reached out.
To answer your question, yes, Google Home/Nest speakers updates on its own since updates are sent over the air as long as the device is connected on a stable WiFi conection.
I'd like to know what are the exact commands you tried as well as its exact response every time you try to play the good night feature?
Let us know by responding to this thread.

Hi Princess,
I had contacted Google a few weeks ago to try and fix the problem through their messenger system. We went through a full reset which we thought in the end fixed the problem, but it didn't. Google seemed to think it was a wifi issue, tho I wondered why after years of never having a problem it suddenly just started? Nothing has changed with my wifi or I have I moved the google mini, it always sat in the same place. Anyways, I recently got as a gift a new Google Nest, the one with the display. So I have set that up in the bedroom and moved the Google Mini to a different room and all seems to be okay with the new google nest in the bedroom. Haven't tried the other google mini yet, but it won't have any commands except to play music outback. So I guess I will never know what caused this problem.
Thank you for your reply 🙂
Cheers
Brenda
