Google Assistant pauses tvs in other rooms

When I tell my speaker to "stop" (like when a timer is going off), it's response is to pause the TV in another room.  Or it says that it is cancelling all timers and alarms in my home.

Also, often I will see a speaker has pulsating lights, that wont turn off until it's given a voice command.  I've concluded it triggers after a broadcast, where it seems to think the broadcast is still ongoing.  Or after something is done on another speaker in the home, and it must feel left out so it's waiting to receive it's own command.  It's a problem because until it's cleared, it overrides any other timers/alarms or broadcasts to that speaker that should happen automatically.

On my Nest Hub, an incoming broadcast message remains on the screen (preventing the hub from doing anything else) until I tell it to cancel, at which point it turns off all TVs in my home.

Everything, including the router, has been rebooted.  All devices are set up on their own rooms.  For 3 years this hasnt been a problem, until recently.  What the heck is going on!?!?

Hi btewinkle,

Thanks for visiting the Community.

We're sorry to hear that you're experiencing this with your Google Nest devices. To further isolate the issue, could you please list down all the Google Nest speakers and TVs set up in your network?

Also, has anyone have access to your Google Nest speakers? Are there any other home members that can also control your devices?

Looking forward to your response.

Best,

Princess
