I am just here to vent my frustration. I have the same problem that thousands of others have had (https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Speakers-and-Displays/Hub-stuck-on-grey-g-screen-factory-rese...). Google Home Display will not boot even after factory reset. It is obviously a fault of the device possible caused by a bad update. Either way it is not my fault, but the response from Google support is incredibly frustrating.
"I already got feedback from our senior support team regarding your device replacement, but unfortunately, based on their investigation, they cannot process the replacement since the device is already out of warranty. For your reference your case number is 5-2320000034066."
