Google Home Mini (Nest Mini) won't play some (Premium) YT Music explicit content

Hello,

My Google Mini speaker say "problem happens" when I try to listen some explicit music from YouTube Music Premium.

- Home app on my Android phone is updated 

- YT Music app is updated, Premium account is activated, my account is not for kids...

- Wifi is ok on my Google Mini speaker and my Android phone

- "Filter" on Home app is disabled, I tried to activate it then disabled it again, and again, and again.

- Some of the music that won't play : Lorna Shore - Into the Earth ; Megadeth - Rattlehead ; etc.

 

- These songs work on my phone, on my Chromecast, on my Samsung Smart TV, etc.

 

Very annoying. Very disapointing.

This is not the experience we wanted you to have, let me help you. A few things: which Nest speakers are we working with? When did your issue begin? Were there any recent changes made? Could you try other music platforms if restrictions and filters are active?

 

Follow the steps below to check the restrictions on your YouTube Music:

 

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  3. Tap Settings > Notifications & digital wellbeing > YouTube settings.
  4. Under “Use Restricted Mode,” turn on Restrict for me on this device or Restrict for unrecognized users on this device.

 

Learn more about YouTube Restricted Mode. It would also help a lot if you could reach out to YouTube Music to see if there are settings that have changed or updates that have affected the filter.
