I removed my previous roommate from my household using the Google Home app months ago. When I just asked my device "what's up?" after noticing it had the single light on telling me I had a notification, it told me "You don't have any notifications, but [old roommate] does. I'll leave the light on for them." I can't figure out how to access the notification to get it to go away.
What do I need to do to get this person completely disconnected from my home?

Hello Kitty2149,
Thanks for posting – let’s get this sorted out.
What type of Google Home speaker do you have? How did you remove your household member?
Check on https://goo.gle/3Y08QyE if you can find this reminder.

The reminder seems to have cleared itself after a few hours, and I don't see any of their reminders in that list. I have a Google home mini. I removed them from my household by going to the Home app > Settings, tapping on their profile image and removing them. This sent a notification of removal to this person.

Hi Kitty2149,
Observe if your Google Home Mini will still notify you with that reminder. Furthermore, you can delete a reminder using these commands:
Keep me posted.
Thanks,
Alex

I'll keep an eye on it. Unfortunately I tried using those kinds of commands but it responded by telling me the reminder wasn't for me and it was going to save it for my old roommate. I don't know what actually acknowledged the reminder to get it to go away.

Hi there,
Thanks for the update. If Google Home Mini still recognizes the reminder, we can do a factory reset. Doing this will set it back to its default settings. Reminders you created using your Google Home Mini will be removed, but it will clear the unwanted one.
I’m looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Best,
Alex
