Google Home Mini V1 not resetting

Hi there, my google home mini does not seem to be responsive anymore. I came back home one day and the device was not working. I tried resetting the device by holding the button below but it only shows a green light when pressed. I have also tried the method of plugging the power cord in after ten seconds but I do not get any response what so ever. All I seem to get is a bright green light after pressing the reset button.

I contacted google but I did not get a reply back either

Did you press the factory reset button until you got a sound confirming that the device was resetting?

Hi prithvi123,

 

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing a power issue with your Google Home Mini. Also, thank you for doing some troubleshooting steps before posting. How were you able to contact Google? Do you have a case ID from them for me to check how it went? When and where did you buy your Google Home Mini?

 

It would help a lot if you could do additional steps, follow these steps:

 

  1. Plug the speaker or display into a different wall outlet.
    Note: Make sure they are not connected to a surge protector to rule out all other hardware.
  2. Discharge the speaker or display:
    1. Unplug the power adapter from the outlet and the speaker or display.
    2. Leave it unplugged for 20 seconds.
    3. Plug the power adapter into the speaker or display.
    4. Plug the other end of the power adapter into a wall outlet that works.
    5. Check if any LED lights would appear on the back of the speaker or display.
